TruckersTool Dispatch was founded in 2013 by dispatchers and ex-drivers who got tired of watching owner-ops get squeezed by opaque dispatchers, predatory lease-purchase programs, and broker payment games. So we built the company we wished we'd had access to.

Why TruckersTool Dispatch exists.

The truck dispatching industry has a trust problem and we got tired of watching it cost good drivers real money. Cheap dispatchers offshore the work to call centers where nobody has ever seen a ratecon. Premium dispatchers hide their pricing behind a "schedule a call" page. Lease-purchase programs at the megacarriers turn skilled drivers into indentured operators with worn-out trucks they'll never finish paying off.

The freight is there. The drivers are skilled. Brokers want capacity. The math should work for everyone. It doesn't — because most of the industry has built a business model that scales by adding drivers to overworked dispatchers, not by getting better at dispatching.

We started TruckersTool Dispatch in 2013 with three rules. Every dispatcher on our team is US-based and has either driven or sat next to someone who has. Every price is posted on the wall — no "schedule a call to discuss". Every contract is one phone call to cancel, and every driver gets the same dispatcher every day. We get paid only when our drivers get paid — no flat fees, no monthly fees, no padding.

We're not the biggest dispatching company in the country. We don't want to be. We want every driver on our roster to make more money than they would dispatching themselves, and we want them to know exactly how we do it. That's the whole pitch. Our pricing is here; nothing's hidden.

Who we are not.

If you've been around trucking long enough, "dispatch service" carries baggage. Here's what we are not, so you can decide if we're worth a phone call.

We are not a freight broker. We don't take title to your freight. We don't profit from a margin between the shipper rate and your rate. We negotiate the broker's rate up; we don't mark down to skim it.
We are not an offshore call center. Every dispatcher is US-based, fluent in trucking vocabulary, and reachable on their cell after 5pm if your week goes sideways. No language barrier, no rotating staff, no "let me transfer you".
We are not a load board. Load boards are a tool we use; they're not the product. The product is a person who picks up the phone, knows your truck, and negotiates on your behalf.
We are not the cheapest in the industry. 3.5% dispatchers exist. They book the first load they see at the posted rate. We're 8–12% and we negotiate every load against the live market. The math on which one nets you more is on our pricing page.
We are not for everyone. If you have a dedicated lane that pays well and a broker who calls you back, you don't need us. We're for owner-operators who feel they're leaving rate on the table and don't have time to fix it themselves.
We are not a lease-purchase trap. We do offer lease-on (drive under our authority) and optional lease-purchase, but neither has claw-backs, training repayment, or "if you quit you owe us $X" language. You walk, you walk.
