Truck Dispatch for New Authority Owner-Operators

You just got your MC number. Now what? Brokers won't book you (no track record), insurance is expensive (no history), and the load boards look intimidating. We dispatch new-authority owner-operators specifically — and we know the brokers who actually take new MCs.

// What we hear from drivers

If any of this sounds familiar — we built this for you.

The friction CDL drivers thinking about going independent hit every single week.

Brokers refusing to book you because your MC is under 90 days old
No idea which load boards are worth the subscription cost
Insurance just hit for $14k/year and you need to start running
New Entrant Safety Audit looms in 6-12 months and you have no paperwork system
Confused about BOC-3 process agents, BMC-91, NOA, IFTA — pick a paperwork rabbit hole
Watching your truck payment due date approach with zero loaded miles
// What changes

Here's what driving with TruckersTool Dispatch does about it.

Booked inside week one

We have broker relationships specifically with carriers who take new MCs. Most of our new-authority drivers run their first load within 5-7 days of authority activation.

New Entrant audit prep

Driver qualification file, HOS records, drug-and-alcohol consortium paperwork — we build your audit package as you run loads, not in a panic at month 11.

Paperwork done right from day 1

BOC-3, BMC-91, NOA, COI, W-9, MCS-150, IRP — we coordinate every filing in the right order. No retroactive penalties.

Coaching included

Your dispatcher walks you through your first 10 loads — what to negotiate, what to refuse, what brokers to avoid. By load 20 you know the game.

// Year one as a new MC

What month one through month twelve actually looks like.

Month 1: Authority activates. We onboard you in 24 hours and start booking. Expect lower-than-average rates initially — brokers price you carefully until you have a track record. Focus on building broker relationships, hitting every appointment, getting clean delivery records.

Months 2-5: Track record builds. Brokers who treated you cautiously start offering better rates. We layer in higher-paying lanes as your performance data accumulates. Most new-authority drivers see RPM climb 10-15% over this period.

Months 6-12: New Entrant Safety Audit happens somewhere in this window. We pre-prep your audit package — driver qualification file, HOS logs, drug-and-alcohol records, MCS-150 update, vehicle inspection reports. Drivers we've prepped have a 98%+ pass rate (and we sit with you on the rare follow-up). Once you pass the audit, your authority is permanent.

After year one, your insurance drops noticeably (10-25% typical), brokers no longer flag you as new, and your RPM stabilizes at experienced-driver levels. This is the hard year. We dispatch through it with you specifically because most dispatch services don't want new MCs.
