Cookie policy.

A brief, plain-English version of how this website uses cookies. We don't use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between page loads or visits — your form state, your dark/light preference, whether you've already dismissed a notification, etc. They are not programs and they do not access anything on your device beyond the data the website itself put there.

What we use cookies for

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function. Examples: remembering whether you've accepted this cookie notice, session state during the apply form. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
  • Functional cookies — remember your preferences across visits. Examples: light/dark mode toggle (when we add one), the font you've sized the page to.
  • Anonymous analytics cookies — count page views in aggregate so we can see which content is useful. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics in a way that profiles individual users.

Cookies we do not use

  • Third-party advertising or retargeting cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc.)
  • Cross-site behavioral profiling cookies
  • Cookies that share your data with data brokers

How to control cookies

You can clear or block cookies through your browser's settings. Doing so won't prevent you from reading any of our pages — it may break the apply form's "remember my entries" function on submit, and it'll mean we can't remember a dark-mode preference between visits. You won't lose access to anything substantive.

Modern browsers also have "Do Not Track" or equivalent privacy controls. We honor them — when your browser signals do-not-track, we don't write any analytics cookies for that session.

Third-party services on this site

This site loads a few resources from third-party CDNs for performance reasons (Google Fonts for typography, FontAwesome for icons, Bootstrap and jQuery from public CDNs in some places). These services may set their own cookies subject to their own policies. We do not pass them any of your data; they only see the request your browser makes to fetch their resources.

Changes to this policy

If we add a new cookie type or change how we use existing ones, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date. Substantial changes will be communicated via email to active drivers.
