Power-Only dispatch — built for owner-operators.

Power-only is the smartest entry path into trucking ownership — you bring the tractor, the broker brings the trailer. We focus on premium power-only programs (Convoy, Uber Freight, Amazon Relay, J.B. Hunt 360 power-only) plus one-off pulls for traditional brokers. Lower overhead, faster onboarding, no trailer maintenance. Our 10% reflects that power-only freight moves fast and rates flex hard — our dispatchers earn their cut twice on every load.

Why drivers run power-only with us

  • Drop-and-hook means no live-load wait time. More loads per week at the same RPM = bigger paychecks without longer days.
  • No trailer ownership = lower insurance, lower maintenance, no trailer financing. The power-only owner-operator runs the cleanest balance sheet in trucking.
  • Detention and lumper pay are where most power-only dispatchers leave money on the table. We negotiate both aggressively — sometimes that recovery is the whole margin on a marginal load.

// Programs vs spot

Convoy, Amazon Relay, Uber Freight — and the spot market beside them.

Power-only programs (Convoy, Amazon Relay, Uber Freight, J.B. Hunt 360 power-only) trade rate for volume. RPM is lower ($1.70–$2.40 typical) but loads are pre-built, drop-and-hook, and the queue rarely runs dry. They're consistent income for an owner-operator who values predictability.

Spot-market power-only is the opposite — RPM swings $2.20–$3.10+ depending on lane, but capacity is harder to find and you'll have empty days waiting. The drivers who maximize gross run a mix: Mon–Wed on programs (consistent paychecks build the floor), Thu–Fri opportunistic spot (chase the rate spikes when capacity tightens for the weekend).

We onboard you to all the major power-only programs as part of dispatch — typically 24–48 hours for Amazon Relay, 24 hours for Convoy, same-day for Uber Freight assuming clean authority. Then we run the daily mix decision for you based on current rates and your home base. No re-onboarding, no double dispatcher fees.

Power-Only drivers, real results.

"I switched to TruckersTool Dispatch last spring. Same lanes, my weekly gross went from $7,400 to $9,100. The difference paid my truck note in two months — even after the higher dispatch cut, the rate-after-cut math wasn't close."

// FAQ — Power-Only

Common questions from power-only drivers.

If we missed yours, call dispatch — we'll talk straight.

Do I need a 5th wheel slider for power-only?
Most programs require it for trailer compatibility. We confirm before placing you on each program.
Can I run program loads and spot loads in the same week?
Yes. We mix programs (Convoy, Amazon, Uber) with spot-market power-only when rates flex high.
How fast can I get on Amazon Relay?
Provided your authority is in good standing and you have a recent CSA, we can usually onboard you on Amazon Relay within 48 hours.
